Training and Development Advisor

£25,000 - £28,000

Based: South Yorkshire

 

My client, a leading manufacturing organisation, are recruiting for an experienced Training and Development Advisor to join work as part of their wider HR department. Reporting to the HR manager The Training and Development Advisor will be responsible for the creation and management of a learning and development function to support the circa 600 employee at the South Yorkshire plant.

 

Key responsibilities

 

To identify training and development needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with the Management team/ HR.

To design and develop training and development programmes based on both the Company's and the individuals needs.

To ensure the costs of planned programmes are kept within the budget, and to assess and communicate the return on investment to the relevant parties.

To produce training materials for in-house courses.

To manage and monitor the delivery of training and development programmes through training records / job analysis etc.

To monitor and review the progress of trainees.

To evaluate training and development programmes, and amend and revise programmes as necessary.

To assist line managers and trainers to solve specific training problems

To effectively manage a Training in implementing and delivering the training and development programme.

 

The Training and Development Advisor will have full training life cycle experience (TNA, Design, Delivery and Evaluation) and will be comfortable with both technical/ product training delivery as well as behavioural/ soft skills training.

 

It is essential that candidates have experience of Training and Development within a manufacturing environment. CTP qualification is also highly desirable.
